To: Fans, Entertainers & Friends;

Please be advised that the Brice’s Country Jamboree events scheduled for 2008 have been postponed until further notice.

Two factors have made it necessary to take this action:
As some of you are aware, I am waiting on a serious operation; I had hoped it would be scheduled by now, leaving plenty of time to work on the events. As of today, I’m still on a waiting list.

The other issue has to do with the local municipality. Although I was previously given permission to stage the event, they are now raising concerns. This has come about after I’ve spent several hundred thousand dollars in the facilities and booked entertainment, sound technicians and other personnel.

To say that I’m disappointed would be an understatement! These actions are especially troubling to me because many people across southern Ontario were looking forward to a summer of fun, music and friendship. To them I state… I will continue to work toward staging events for their entertainment pleasure.

We will be contacting all entertainers who have been booked to discuss any concerns.
